Salento Colombia to Chiclayo Peru 26th 11 11

Salento

The ride from Salento to Cali in Colombia , was another great Mountain ride . On arriving in Cali I meet up with 3 guys from England  riding 1991 BMWs , and have been travelling with them ever since .

The next stop was Popayan, probably one of the nicest in Colombia

More mountains on the way to Ipiales , approx 7kms from the border with Ecuador 

Santtuario De La lajas 

This Catherdal was septacular , just out side of Ipialas . The border crossing was very easy and we were through in no time 

Ecuador 

Not far from Quito 

First snow topped Mountain , virtually right on the Equator

On the way down to Cuenca south of Quito 

The ride to Cuenca was another of those just fantastic rides , up and down mountains all day . The roads were all great

First night in Peru ,Colan , we are living like Kings . A resort right on the beach

Paita a small fishing town not far from Colan 

After Colan there is just sand , for as far as the eye can see

The Tiger what a great bike , I just love it

There are lots of little villages as we pass through Peru and lots more sand .

Colombia 

What a great country , Great people , Great Scenery , a must to go to

Ecuador 

Beautiful Country side and great people  also a must to visit
